Step 1 – Removing the Rivets — ATLAS Models
Workstation Preparation
Place the snowshoe on a stable, protected surface.
Install the ¼” drill bit onto your drill.
Keep the vise-grip pliers and lubricant within reach.
Removal Steps
1️⃣ Locate the rivets: Drill from the top, centered on the small hole in the rivet head.
2️⃣ Secure the underside: Hold the washer and pivot with the vise-grip pliers to prevent rotation.
3️⃣ Lubricate: Apply a drop of WD-40 to the rivet head.
4️⃣ Drill slowly: Start at low speed with steady, moderate pressure.
5️⃣ Monitor heat: Add more lubricant if needed to prevent overheating.
6️⃣ Remove the remains: Extract the pin and washer, then check that the pivot strap is not damaged.
Pro Tips
-
Stability: Hold the snowshoe firmly while drilling.
-
Control: If the rivet starts spinning, tighten the vise-grip and continue.
-
Cleanliness: Remove all metal shavings before installing the new parts.

🔧 Last step — Final assembly of the parts
1️⃣ Preparation
Carefully remove the binding and crampon.
Handle each part carefully to avoid damaging the aluminum structure or the pivot.
2️⃣ Cleaning and precise cutting
-
Remove the non-slip layer on top of the harness using an Exacto.
-
If necessary, trim the anti-slip under the harness with a sturdy scissors to obtain a clean, fitted surface.
3️⃣ Assembly of the elements
Stack in the following order:
foot plate → metal stud → bottom plate.
Then place the assembly over the existing toe cord, inserting the screws into the original holes.
4️⃣ Final fixing
Assemble with rivets or self-locking nut bolts, depending on the desired strength.
Tighten firmly without crushing the rubber.
5️⃣ Visual check
Check the alignment and symmetry of the parts.
