Mount Royal Park:Mount Royal Park was superbly landscaped in 1874 by American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, to whom we also owe Central Park in New York. It has been said of him “that by urbanizing nature he also made the city more natural”. Dressed in white, "the Mountain" is much more peaceful and relaxing. The visitor walks there gently observing sometimes beautiful trees, sometimes the mountains in the distance, sometimes the skyscrapers at the bottom. From the Kondiaronk lookout, which borders the Chalet du mont Royal, the view of downtown, the St. Lawrence River and the Montérégiennes hills is magnificent.
