Mount Royal Park:Mount Royal Park was superbly landscaped in 1874 by American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, to whom we also owe Central Park in New York. The visitor walks there gently observing sometimes beautiful trees, sometimes the mountains in the distance, sometimes the skyscrapers at the bottom. Protected territory and life-size experiences
From its height of 984 m, Parc national des Monts-Valin dominates the landscape of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Brook trout fishing and canoeing are practiced in a multitude of lakes and rivers in the park. In addition to canoeing, paddle surfing is an original activity for criss-crossing the meanders of the Valin River. In the fall, hiking is in the spotlight for a day or a long stay with sleeping in a refuge. In winter, the exceptional snow cover transforms this territory into a mecca for snowshoeing or Nordic skiing. A caterpillar shuttle takes visitors to the foot of the Vallée des Fantômes.
